Clean and healthy eating isn’t a diet, but rather an eating habit that emphasizes the quality of the foods you eat.
Clean eating allows you to take back control of what you put into your body. High-quality, whole foods replace the ones which are covered in pesticides, engineered or produced in massive factories. Vegetables, fruits, nuts, virgin olive oil, grass-fed meats and hormone-free dairy nourish your body and can improve your health. Consistently eating clean fills your body with plentiful minerals and vitamines, healthy fats and high-quality protein, which improves your health and helps to gain lean muscle. We usually undereat on vegetables and fruits but overeat when it comes to meat, sugar and dishes which contain a lot of sodium.
I know it is hard sometimes and no one will ever be mad at you when you have a cheat day or cheat meal. We all have our gravings and even a burger or pizza can be healthy when you don’t eat it regularly.
However, clean eating is not really a way for losing weight. Plenty of foods that are considered clean are high in calories and won’t help you shed more fat.
On this blog you will find recipes and ideas for a healthy and balanced diet. Since I’m a sweet tooth I will definitely share recipes for a healthier version of pancakes, bread, cookies and co. T.H.
